VICTON Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) distributor in Malaysia & Singapore | Worldwide Delivery With English Language Support

Product Selection

You could select a TPMS in 2 simple steps:

STEP 1: Select Internal tyre sensor or External Tyre sensor.

In short, external sensor can be DIY in short time and installed on tyre gas inlet.
Internal sensor installed inside tyre and so you need to go tyre shop for installation.

TPMS INTERNAL VS EXTERNAL SENSOR

You could check for the complete comparison below under Internal Sensor vs External Sensor section.

STEP 2: Select in car Display Panel based on temperature display function, tyre pressure limit setting, design and solar charging function.

EXTERNAL SENSOR MODEL:

T6C-EXT – With tyre temperature display, Multi color display, simple and compact design, black casing.Tyre pressure limit could be set above 3.3 bar (330 Kpa), with solar charging function.

Internal Sensor vs External Sensor:

TPMS INTERNAL VS EXTERNAL SENSOR

Main Features Comparison:

External Internal Remark
Accuracy 9 10 Both type are accurate
Installation Difficulty 10 6 External Sensor can DIY easily, Internal can be installed in tyre shop
Battery Life 8 10 External sensor battery is replaceable.
Anti-Theft 6 10 Sensor without the display unit is totally useless, and external sensor can only be removed with supplied special spanner, so theft should not be a main concern when choosing a TPMS.  Anyway sensor could be purchased and replaced individually.
Usage Environtment 8 10 Both type are durable and reliable in most kind of usage environment

Q&A :

Q: Which type of TPMS is better, internal or external?
A: As the working principle and design of the two system varies, they can be compared and contrast from the following four aspects:

Accuracy
• Both internal and external sensors are able to measure typre pressure accurately.
• Compared to internal sensor, external one is not as accurate. But its accuracy is still up to 90% (∆T = 5 – 8 deg).
Installation
• The external TPMS can be installed easily by any end-user within very short time.
• If the valve stem is worn, it has to be replaced else the external sensor cannot be installed properly without air leakage.
• The body of the external sensor is made of high-strength polymer and metal. It is able to withstand strong force exerted on the sensor.
• The internal TPMS can only installed by trained car mechanics.
• The internal sensor replaces original valve stem. It cannot be differentiated from traditional valve stem by looking from outside.
Lifespan
• The external sensor battery is CR1632, which is commonly available on market and can be easily replaced. Such design prolongs the lifespan of external sensor.
• Battery in internal sensor is not replaceable. The battery life of each sensor is about 7 – 8 years. The sensor needs to be replaced when the battery runs out.
When inflating tyre
• The external sensor can only be dismounted from the valve stem with the special spanner supplied. It is strongly advised to have this tool with the vehicle at all time.
• After inflating tyre, it is advised to check if the external sensor is re-installed properly with soap solution.
• User inflates tyre as per normal if using internal TPMS.
